The first edition of the North Lake Bike Fest at Palazzo Gallio di Gravedona has started. Also the Ghisallo Museum among the partners. On October 15th when the first edition of the North Lake Bike Fest will be staged at Palazzo Gallio di Gravedona.
Discovering the new itineraries of the lake, on-site exhibitors with accessories and models of e-bikes and mountain bikes, music and sports performances.
For the occasion, the Ghisallo Museum will exhibit some historic bicycles from the Ghisallo collection, a tribute to Fausto Coppi will be screened with notes dedicated to the Champion by Maestro Rossella Spinosa, a project developed as part of the PIC – Integrated Culture Plan.
In the morning there will also be the first Alto Lario Lake Como elegance competition for velocipedes, organized by the Pro Loco of Dongo, in collaboration with the La Ghisallo Team, the Ghisallo Museum and Cerchio Ghisallo.

The appointment with Lake Como Bike Fest it is for all professionals, enthusiasts but also for the general public who want to know more closely the bike models for the different ways of use, the services and technologies on the market, the prototypes and the latest news for the sector. There is also space for territories, with proposals for new itineraries to explore the lake on two wheels. A way of experiencing the journey that is no longer just a trend: more and more tourists say they are sensitive to the protection of the environment and local communities and have identified the bicycle as the ideal way to discover a territory. It is no coincidence that cycle tourism, one of the forms of sustainable tourism with the greatest potential for growth in Europe, is an increasingly widespread phenomenon and also studied in the area.
Heart of the event, the splendid location of Palazzo Gallio in Gravedona ed Uniti where a themed exhibition will be set up with latest generation bicycle models and accessories alongside historical relics from the Ghisallo Museum collection. The latter is a real museum exhibition that ideally traces the history of the great myths of cycling, also through unpublished films from the Ghisallo-Acdb Museum Archive with original music by Rossella Spinosa. The exhibition offer is completed by proposals for outdoor experiences for adults and children to discover Lake Como and the surrounding landscapes.
The party continues outside the palace and involves the Upper Lake area more widely. At 10.00 the appointment is in Dongo, with the First Elegance Competition for velocipedes which starts from Piazza Paracchini and reaches Gravedona, while at 3.00 pm always in Dongo in Piazza Matteri, it will be the turn of the Bike-Trial Show, an exhibition and acrobatics performed by the athletes of the BMT Valsassina association.
Admission to the exhibition and to all events is free and free for the whole day.
Lake Como Bike Fest is financed by the Lombardy Region, Department of Tourism, Territorial Marketing and Fashion on the “Every day in Lombardy” call, beneficiary and co-financier of the Como-Lecco Chamber of Commerce and organizer Lariofiere in collaboration with the Comunità Montana Valli del Lario and Ceresio, internal areas of the upper lake, the Dongo Proloco and the “Madonna del Ghisallo” cycling museum. As part of the party, a work shop is scheduled for the morning between local institutions that are developing development and support actions for the cycle-tourism sector.
