Inaugurated on Sunday 18 December 2022, in the historic Cambiago workshop, The Ernesto Colnago Collection enriches the world of two-wheeled collecting. It could only be like this with Ernesto Colnago’s dearest memories of seventy years of cycling history, a story that is closely linked to that of Fiorenzo Magni.

The exhibition La Collezione tells a story of success through unpublished photographs, multimedia installations, original race jerseys and some of the bicycles protagonists of legendary feats such as that of Eddy Merckx’s 1972 hour record, the one with which Beppe Saronni won the 1982 Goodwood World Championship and the winners of no less than five Paris-Roubaix. At the opening, blessed by Don Mazzi, always close to Ernesto Colnago, many friends and champions were present, who came to celebrate Ernesto Colnago: Beppe Saronni, Gianbattista Baronchelli and Gianni Motta.

Beyond the value of the historical relics, the layout of the bright, modern rooms, designed by the Antonio Lanzillo & Partners studio, winner of the Compasso d’oro 2020, was greatly appreciated. In fact this is the permanent exhibition of the achievements of a man who, according to the words of the mayor, Maria Grazia Mangiagalli, is the pride of Cambiago.
