FILIPP GANNA’S TT BOLIDE, USED IN THE GIRO D’ITALIA 2021 TIME TRIAL, AT THE GHISALLO CYCLING MUSEUM

The active collaboration between the Ghisallo Cycling Museum and the well-known company Pinarello gives cycling fans a new great joy. Starting June 27th through July 31st, it will be possible to come and observe the bicycle used by Filippo Ganna at the opening time trial of the 2021 Giro d’Italia.

After the hour record bicycle obtained by Filippo, exhibited in June, another very special bicycle arrives on loan, with blue livery and inscriptions recalling his own victory at the World Championship. The Bolide TT won the Compasso d’Oro for its design

It is a distinctive blue with which Pinarello painted the frame of the Verbania cyclist’s bicycle, the same blue that branded Elia Viviani’s MAAT track bike after the 2016 Rio Olympics.

Equipped with traditional brakes, Filippo Ganna also adopts customized prostheses: as you can see, no thickness is provided but the position is all down to the shape of the supports that are tailored to the World Champion’s needs. Also of note is the modern trend of holding the hands much higher than a few years ago, so as to promote aerodynamic penetration.
