Once again this year the Ghisallo Cycling Museum will host the Vincenzo Torriani International Award” in October.
The names of the 2023 winners will be made public shortly.
The Vincenzo Torriani International Award was the brainchild of the then director of the Gazzetta dello Sport Candido Cannavò , his children Gianni, Marco and Milly and the initiative of Aldo De Martino, president of the “Emilio De Martino” Association.
The award dedicated to ” Those who love cycling and bring it to life” was established in 1998 and celebrates the work of people committed to protecting and promoting the values of cycling: champions, entrepreneurs, organizers, executives, journalists and personalities from the world of cycling.
Since 2008, in addition to the three awardees with bronze statues on Carrara marble, depicting an uphill runner (by sculptor Domenico Greco), a special “Silver Heart” award has been given by the Aldo and Emilio De Martino Association.
