A central role was undoubtedly played by Beppe Martinelli: with our editor, the Pirate’s historic director takes us on a tour of a decade spent together. It all began with a report from Amadori in 1991 and a post-race analysis of the young man from Romagna that caused “Martino” to be struck by lightning. From there it was visits to Cesenatico, conversations that were never trivial and the sharing of a life, in joy and sorrow.
