The Ghisallo Cycling Museum is pleased to announce an unmissable event for all cycling enthusiasts: on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at 3:30 p.m., there will be a special meeting with two great protagonists of Italian cycling, Roberta Ferrero and Rosaria D’Angelo.
The initiative is part of a series of cultural and sporting events promoted by the Museum to celebrate the stories and achievements of athletes who have made Italian cycling history, with particular focus on the contribution of women in the world of sport.
Roberta Ferrero, from Piedmont, was one of the most prominent female cyclists of the 1990s. In 1995, she won the Italian National Road Championship, crowning a career marked by talent, determination, and dedication. She wore prestigious jerseys and competed in important national and international races, helping to advance women’s cycling in Italy.
Rosaria D’Angelo, a pioneering figure in women’s cycling, wrote an indelible chapter in the history of Italian sport by winning the Italian National Championship in 1967. Her career, carried out during a time when women’s cycling was just beginning to gain recognition, stands as a testament to passion, strength, and courage.
During the event, the two champions will share their stories in an open dialogue with the audience, filled with emotions, anecdotes, and reflections on the role of women in sport and the changes in cycling over the years.
On the occasion of this special event, Ferrero and D’Angelo will donate to the Museum some significant memorabilia from their careers, which will become part of the permanent collection: a gesture of great symbolic value that enriches the historical heritage of the Ghisallo.
