A legacy collected and reinvented, a generational conflict transformed into vision, a life pedaled between industry and beauty.

The story of Antonio Colombo, son of Angelo Luigi (founder of AL Colombo in 1919), begins in the pyrite mines of the Maremma, continues through the steel pipes of the family business and experiences a turning point in London in the late 1960s, where eighteen-year-old Antonio encounters countercultures and falls in love with art.

Upon his return to a Milan shrouded in the hood of the Years of Lead, he realizes that even steel can become an expressive language and that the most suitable artifact for achieving this synthesis is the bicycle, «a sort of matryoshka: you open it and inside there is another and then another. If you want to use your imagination, the bicycle is perfect».

After the acquisition of the Cinelli brand in 1978, an entrepreneurial adventure began, bringing together cold-drawn tubes, Bruce Springsteen, and pop art, revolutionizing the cycling market by introducing models that would make its history, and reinventing the very idea of pedaling.
