Curricular internships

The museum is contracted with the Polytechnic University of Milan to grant curricular internships to university students. Other internship sprees with other institutions are available on request.

Graduation thesis

The Museum also is a location to discuss graduation thesis and to organize graduation parties in a very special and unusual environment. In the peace of the culture and history of our country that has been pedaling for two centuries.

Seeing, listening, thinking, doing

The visit to the museum offers an introduction to the world of cycling, drawing the attention of the children to interesting objects or documents in view of the laboratory activity chosen by the teacher for the students. The work then continues in a special space dedicated to children; every time to see, listen, think, do, starting from the comparison of objects, newspapers, photographers and, appropriately selected films, and listening to oral testimonies that the museum possesses. In the laboratory there is a way – among other things – to know and decipher words and expressions of cycling jargon, a sign of an environment that for at least a century has distinguished itself in society and in the world of sport.

"Gas up " - Eating in competitive cycling

Goals and themes

The children are tricked into comparing their experiences with those of runners and reflecting on the role of nutrition in cycling practice, the functions that objects and materials perform or perform in this practice, on the historical evolution of techniques, regulations, sport and society, becoming active protagonists of a fun and intelligent visit. Disciplinary objectives:

  • To know the needs of man and the artifacts, objects, tools and machines that satisfy them;
  • Observe and compare objects and people of today with those of the past;
  • Reading and interpreting the testimonies of the past;
  • Social identification of cause-and-effect relationships and hypotheses on the possible effects of a cause;
  • Know and use specific terms of the disciplinary language.

GUIDED VISITS

On reservation, a guide to the Museum (in English, French and German) accompanies the visit of all the exhibition areas retracing the history of cycling and its protagonists. Very fun for schoolchildren and/or families the “Mirabilia hunt”, also on reservation, which allows you to know the story of the Museum playing.
