National vintage jersey Australia De Marchi

Part of the little collection dedicated to the 1972 Munich Olympic podium, the jersey of the Australian national team, along with the Dutch and Spanish team, tells a story of style and sadness. During the games infamously marred by terrible terrorist attacks, the representatives of three nationals considered outsiders won the gold medal, (Netherlands), silver (Australia) and bronze respectively (Spain, then disqualified), practically wearing meshes with a graphic pattern, albeit of different colors. It’s the triumph of the colorblock style. Wool, vintage zip, three back pockets.
