This is the story of Biagio Cavanna, and the very first cycling training team ever existed before in Italy: a sort of boarding school placed between Pozzolo Formigaro and Novi Ligure, a place devoted to the training of thoroughbred athlets: strong, brave, tireless, each of them with his own personality, nevertheless with one aim: to win all the awards possible, in particular the team time race Italian Cup, like a diploma gave by the brilliant blind masseur to reach the final result: to become Fausto Coppi’s assistant and to be part of a legend, all together

Giovanni Meazzo (Meassen), Luciano Parodi (Paruden, u rugnen), Elio Di Maria (Maia) and Sergio Lugano (Luganen)… and many others, with a relevant nickname. They are like unknown angels hidden by the great story but nevertheless key players of the heroic Italian cycling in the Fifties: some of them forgotten only because they were too small…

The author – Luciana Rota, professional journalist since 1996, freelance, editor of the web site, Cycling Museum Madonna del Ghisallo external relationship manager. Editor of , she works with Rai Due (I Signori del Vino, TV program). She is one the re-founders of the Circolo Velocipedistico Alessandrino and she contributed to the historical search about Alessandria Città delle Biciclette (Palazzo del Monferrato, Alessandria). She published for Fabbri Editor some sport handbooks: about Cycling, Mountain Bike, Rollerblade, Snowboard, Scuba diving… and for Daniela Piazza in Tourin a books “La mia vita con Fausto” (My life with Fausto)from Fausto Coppi’s wife Bruna Ciampolini intimate diary.
