Vintage Jersey Learco Guerra by De Marchi

Reproduction of Learco Guerra – Ursus jersey: Carlo Clerici wore it in 1954, when he won the Tour of Italy. Clerici has been the first non Italian cyclist to win the Tour of Italy. This jersey has been realized thanks to the collaboration with the company Learco Guerra, the brand build up by the family of the unforgettable Learco, famous as the human locomotive. A soft and lightweight jersey, made in soft Merino wool with an addition of acrylic textile, it is suitable in spring as in summer. In 1954, Clerici – 25 years old, born in Como and just naturalized Swiss – was hired in the Tour of Italy with the role Koblet’s assistant. Learco Guerra pushed him to the final breakaway at the stage from Naples to L’Aquila and suddenly he wore the pink jersey till the finish line at Vigorelli velodrome. Koblet, second classified, supported him; Coppi, Bartali and Magni followed. The Swiss Learco Guerra Ursus jersey (the Swiss affiliate team) won in two years the Tours of Romandia and Switzerland; thanks to Koblet, the team won many classical stage-races typical of that historic period.
